Ukraine: Strategic developments in Kiev
Every fifth drone purchased by the DOT Defense Procurement Agency since July 2025 has been delivered to the military through the online marketplace DOT-Chain Defence. The system is used by over 500 combat units of the Defense Forces. The main difference of DOT-Chain Defence from other procurement mechanisms is that the unit itself chooses the necessary equipment. The military forms the orders, and the DOT Defense Procurement Agency concludes contracts with manufacturers and makes payments. Available on the marketplace: • FPV drones, bombers, and aircraft-type UAVs; • ammunition for drones; • ground robotic systems; • EW equipment. If the required item is in stock, the average time from order to shipment is 8 days. For pre-orders – about 1.5 months. For unmanned systems, speed is especially important: technologies are constantly changing, so the military must receive up-to-date solutions for its needs.
