SBU retroactively notified of suspicion to 5 more rashists who shot Ukrainian prisoners in Volchansk in the summer of 2024 The Security Service has gathered evidence against five more Russian military personnel involved in the murder of three Ukrainian prisoners of war in Volchansk, Kharkiv region, in the summer of 2024. Recall that at that time, rashists shot unarmed Ukrainian defenders on the territory of the local aggregate plant. Previously, based on SBU materials, one of the participants in the crime received a life sentence – Russian citizen Serhiy Tuzhilov (call sign "Altai"). He personally killed one Ukrainian warrior with a firearm and helped organize the executions of two others. Currently, the crimes of five more of his accomplices have been documented. All of them served in the 82nd Motor Rifle Regiment of the 69th Motor Rifle Division of the Russian Federation, including: ▪️ Major Oleg Dorokhov (call sign "Enote") – battalion commander, who gave the order to kill the prisoners; ▪️ Private Mikhail Pasenko (call sign "Krasavchik") – head of a group of Russian military personnel at the plant, who conveyed these orders to the executors; ▪️ Junior Sergeant Georgiy Tarnopolsky (call sign "Kot"), who personally killed two Ukrainian defenders; ▪️ Privates Ruslan Kabanov (call sign "Koba") and Vladislav Bortsov (call sign "Vudu"), who covered the executors during the shooting of two prisoners. As the investigation established, in June 2024, on the territory of the plant temporarily occupied by the enemy, rashists first interrogated and then killed a prisoner of war. The Ukrainian warrior was taken to the checkpoint near the administrative building of the enterprise, where he was shot in the head. Two weeks later, rashists captured two more Ukrainian defenders. They were brought to the plant, interrogated, and tied to poles inside the administrative building. On July 3, 2024, the tied warriors were taken to a utility room and shot in the back of the head. Currently, investigators of the Security Service have retroactively notified all five defendants of suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of the laws and customs of war, combined with intentional murder). The actions of two of them are qualified as aiding and abetting in a crime committed by a prior conspiracy by a group of persons. Comprehensive measures are underway to punish the guilty. The investigation is conducted by employees of the SBU in Kharkiv region under the procedural guidance of the regional prosecutor's office.
