Uzbekistan: Natural event in Qibray District
On October 19, at 19:05, a balloon fell on the open distribution device of the "Aksa Toshkent" thermal power plant in the Qibray district, causing the protection system to activate and reducing the plant's capacity from 460 MW to 185 MW. As a result, power outages were observed in Yunusabad, Olmazar, Mirzo Ulugbek, and Shaikhontohur districts. Officials asked citizens not to fly balloons in the air near power plants, substations, and other electrical installations.
