Moldova: Natural event in Chișinău

Thanks to the rains that occurred in Moldova, the water level in the Dubossary and Dniester reservoirs began to rise. This was reported on October 19 by ecologist, executive director of the association "Eco-Tiras" Ilya Trombitsky. At the same time, the expert noted that it is too early to rejoice - only about 30 mm of precipitation is expected in the upper reaches of the Dniester in the next two weeks. According to Trombitsky, local rains caused a sharp increase in water inflow into the Dubossary reservoir - the indicator instantly grew by 50 m³/s, as a result of which the total inflow reached 75 m³/s. The water level in the reservoir rose by 8 cm, stopping at the mark of 28.10 m. At the same time, in the Dniester reservoir, the changes are less noticeable so far: the inflow is 47 m³/s, and the water level has risen by only 3 cm - to 110.96 m.
