Belarus: Battles in Minsk

More than 200 days in pre-trial detention before sentencing. In Minsk, behind closed doors, the trial of Catholic priest Anatoliy Parakhnevich, rector of the parish in Olkovichi, Vileyka district, has begun. Katolik.life writes about this. The priest was detained on March 16. Since then, he has spent more than 200 days in pre-trial detention, according to believers, in the KGB detention center. In the spring, he also had a heart attack there. He turned 66 in custody. According to available data, he is accused of "treason against the state." Believers think that the reason could have been his work on preserving the memory of Poles who died on these lands at the beginning of the last century. Parakhnevich also openly spoke out against the war in Ukraine.
