Brazil: Event in Natal

In Rio Grande do Norte, women supported by protective measures will have priority service during the first round of elections on October 4th. The measure was determined by the Regional Electoral Court and applies to the entire state. The initiative extends the effects of a previous decision that had guaranteed priority to women assisted by the Patrulha Maria da Penha of the Natal Municipal Guard. With this expansion, all female voters in the state in vulnerable situations, protected by protective measures, will have the right to priority service on Sunday. The measure also considers the need for logistical organization of travel and the protection of women assisted by security agencies.
