A child was washed away by a wave into the sea from a pier in Sakhalin. In the port city of Kholmsk in southern Sakhalin, searches are underway for the body of a 12-year-old boy, who was washed away by a wave from a pier on Tuesday evening, according to the press service of the regional EMERCOM. "On September 29, at 19:40 local time (11:40 MSK), the crisis management center of the EMERCOM for the Sakhalin region received information that in Kholmsk, in the Primorsky Boulevard area, a boy climbed over the fence and was washed away by a wave from the pier," the statement reads.
