Russia: Strategic developments in Moscow

Ukraine Foreign Minister Andriy Sybига criticized the decision of the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne to allow Russian hockey teams to return to international competitions and called on countries worldwide not to issue visas to Russian hockey players. 'Russia has not stopped the war. It has not stopped killing Ukrainians. It has not stopped continuously attacking our cities. So what exactly has changed to justify the return of the Russian national teams to international competitions?' - Sybига wrote Sunday on social network X. 'The decision of the Court of Arbitration for Sport, which in fact legitimizes the participation of Russia in World Championships under the auspices of the International Ice Hockey Federation is unacceptable. Russian national teams represent the state that is still waging an aggressive war. Their return would now mean granting international legitimacy to Moscow, which it is so desperately seeking,' - continued the Head of the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne on October 30 ordered the International Ice Hockey Federation to again allow Russian national teams to participate in its international competitions. Andriy Sybiga calls on the sports court to revoke this decision, and countries that 'have not lost their moral compass' not to let Russian hockey players enter their territory.
