The Senate approved a law strengthening responsibility for organized crime and crimes against public order. The Criminal Code is supplemented by a separate norm on financing a criminal organization and responsibility for aiding it using official powers. The document also toughens punishment for hooliganism, including that committed by an organized group, as well as for intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm resulting in death. For such hooliganism, criminal liability can be brought from the age of 14. In addition, criminal liability is introduced for the illegal organization and conduct of combat sports competitions, and administrative liability for participation in them.
